Día del Árbol

World Tree Day/ Día Mundial del Árbol

Today, July 9, we celebrate World Tree Day, which was first celebrated 53 years ago at the World Forestry Congress in Rome.

We remind you of the importance they represent for humanity on Earth.

Trees provide us with environmental services such as:

  • Regulation of the water cycle
  • Capture carbon
  • Protection of biodiversity
  • They help in seed dispersal
  • They keep the floors
  • Regulation of air quality
  • Damping of natural phenomena
  • Provide food and construction material
  • Medicines

We want to share some of the famous trees on Alalibre’s hikes:
